Responsibilities

Conduct reverse engineering of power generation components, manage and analyze collected data, and use insights to support continuous improvement and business growth
Utilize and develop fluency in all reverse engineering tools, equipment, and associated software
Utilize 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) – tools to create manufacturing models and drawings
Review and disposition supplier and MD&A manufacturing deviation requests both prior to and during the manufacturing process
Lead continuous improvement and status update meetings to promote cross-organizational collaboration
Support the development and field validation of new products and processes
Actively contribute to cultivating a positive team environment while consistently demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement
Establish & develop effective communication lines across the MD&A Parts Division functional areas, managers, and customers
Ability and willingness to support emergent work items during nights and weekends, as required throughout outage season
Travel up to 10% to MD&A Parts shops located in Ohio and Saint Louis as well as to power plant sites domestically and internationally as needed

Required

A minimum of 5 years of design, manufacturing, and project management experience in power generation or an industrial industry involving turbine product service and parts
Excellent written and verbal communication (English)
Positive attitude
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and across various functional areas with little guidance
Ability to apply both technical and project management experience to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner
Process knowledge in power industry designs
Detailed knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, reverse engineering and drafting practices
Material analysis
CAD capability desirable
Exposure to industrial power plant sites, repair shops and office environments
Ability to travel to various shops within MD&A and to field locations both domestically and internationally as needed
