Junior Tools Engineer
Pipe17 is a venture-funded software company that connects commerce businesses' selling channels, fulfillment providers, and back-office systems into one automated flow. The Junior Tools Engineer will design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation scripts while collaborating with engineering teams to enhance developer productivity and system reliability.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain internal tools and automation scripts using JavaScript / TypeScript
Develop lightweight APIs, CLI tools, and web utilities to enhance developer productivity and system reliability
Implement and manage API integrations between internal systems and external services (e.g., GitHub, Jira, HubSpot, NetSuite, or internal APIs)
Experiment with and build AI-powered developer tools and automations using ChatGPT, Claude Code, and other LLM APIs
Collaborate with infrastructure and product engineering teams to streamline developer workflows, deployments, and monitoring
Troubleshoot system and integration issues, ensuring smooth operation across environments
Write clear documentation and onboard teammates to the tools you create
Participate in design reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning with cross-functional teams
Contribute to unit and integration testing for tools and APIs
Qualification
Required
0–2 years of experience in software or system engineering
Fluency in JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience building tools or automation scripts for personal or team use
Experience integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, or webhooks)
Familiarity with AI developer tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Replit Ghostwriter
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
Curiosity about automation, integration, and AI-driven developer productivity
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) or serverless platforms
Exposure to scripting in Python or Bash
Understanding of cloud cost optimization and monitoring tools
Interest in e-commerce or logistics tech
