Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of scalable microservice-based backend architectures
Define and enforce solution architecture and security architecture patterns across platforms
Collaborate with product and data teams to design and optimize data architecture and integration patterns
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Partner with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives
Evaluate new technologies and drive modernization efforts within the backend ecosystem

Required

10+ years of progressive backend engineering and architecture experience
Strong hands-on expertise with: Java+Spring Boot, Python/PySpark, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS cloud services
Proven experience designing microservices and data-driven architectures
Strong understanding of security design patterns and compliance considerations
Prior experience within the mortgage, financial services, or housing industry is highly preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

Preferred

Experience leading multi-pod Agile teams in a complex enterprise environment
Exposure to CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices
AWS Certification (Architect or Developer) is a plus
