The Project Engineer will lead a team in identifying customer requirements and developing complex systems from kickoff to customer handover, while managing tasks and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead and/or self-perform the execution of engineering activities
Work with Engineering Manager and Project Managers to manage internal and external capacity to meet project milestones. Requests and evaluates engineering services proposals
Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects
Manage and control the generation, issuance, resolution, and close-out of requests for information, technical inquiry forms, and transmittals/submittals
Participate in preparing proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans, engineering/project cost estimates, and schedules
Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office
Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
Provide short-term field support during construction
Any other actions required by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical degree
Three years minimum of engineering experience performing development of solar projects in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD

Preferred

Project management experience is a plus
