The Estimating Engineer will be responsible for scope development and preparation of estimates for natural gas and liquids pipelines and facilities, collaborating with various departments and managing project risks.

Responsibilities

Function as an Estimating Engineer in the Estimating group and report to the Estimating Manager
Prepare estimates for natural gas and liquids pipelines and facilities
Comply and keep current industry pricing and benchmarking data to support cost estimating
Collaborate with Commercial on customer needs and critical timelines
Take the initiative to collaborate with other Company departments on scope of work development
Identify project risks and clarify estimate assumptions to manage escalation, contingency, and unknowns
Communicate work product to Management and Commercial through effective written and verbal presentation skills

Required

Strong analytical thinker with a high level of problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated and exhibits open collaboration with others to seek out solutions
Ability to lead others an manage assignments in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Excel
Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline

Preferred

Experience in developing scopes of work and cost estimates
Strong presentation skills; ability to present and defend work product
Experience with project schedules
Field experience in construction related functions
Proficiency in MS Office Software
