Responsibilities
Provide solution and design recommendations on a multi-cluster enterprise Citrix deployment
Manage and support an existing Citrix 2402 environment with over 3000 concurrent users running on VMWare ESXi, utilizing multi-user sessions in a server OS
Implement and manage user access policies, ensuring appropriate permissions and security protocols are in place while utilizing least privileged access
Provide escalation support related to end-user computing group’s operations, providing training and knowledgebase articles to level 1 and 2 as needed
Collaborate with monitoring team to ensure visibility and performance optimization of virtual desktop environments, ensuring a seamless user experience
Collaborate with security, database and network teams to ensure the security, availability and integrity of the VDI environment
Maintain documentation of the VDI environment, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides
Qualification
Required
10+ years in IT with at least 5 years of experience supporting VDI solutions
Ability to design, architect, and implement a Citrix or AVD environment from scratch
Knowledge of redundancy and scalability methods and solutions
Familiarity with thin-client management and configuration (e.g. Dell Wyse ThinOS and IGEL)
Familiarity with Azure administration and/or Azure Virtual Desktops
Citrix NetScaler management and configuration (e.g. Load-balancing and Gateway)
Experience configuring and supporting FSLogix profile management in an on-premises and/or cloud environment
Experience working in an agile environment utilizing a work management system for project tracking (e.g. JIRA, Asana, etc.)
Citrix WEM (Workspace Environment Manager) experience
Citrix Cloud Control Plane migration and management experience
PowerShell scripting and tooling experience
Azure Administration
Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure VDI hosting
