Technical Business Development Sales Manager, Switchgear & Busway

Vertiv is a global leader in mission-critical infrastructure technologies, and they are seeking a Technical Business Development Sales Manager for Switchgear & Busway. This role is responsible for driving sales growth in Vertiv's Switchgear products across North America, focusing on building relationships with key engineering firms and clients.

Responsibilities

Focus on achieving growth to hit company targets
Participate as needed in account planning efforts and engagement strategies for key clients
Support technical proposals, design documentation and project proposals to aid the design process and delivery to customers
Provide Vertiv Switchgear business account management in partnership with dedicated account managers for select key accounts
Represent the company and actively participate in key customer factory visits
Create general industry awareness through attendance and presenting at industry events
Educate selling entities on application focused system architectures
Provide sales staff with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer facing presentations
Participate in New Product Development efforts
Provide industry feedback to product managers for product improvements and roadmaps

Required

Bachelor's in engineering, business or related degree
8+ years of industry sales experience
Technical knowledge of 480V Switchgear products and applications
Deep market dynamics and industry knowledge
Experience working on large, complex RFQs
Experience working with Sales Offices
Salesmanship and self-confidence to deal with frequent, stressful customer relationship issues
Sales Presentation skills
Attaining quota in measured categories
Assist in problem job / equipment reconciliation
