Sales Engineer, Control Devices- Johnson Barrow

The Sales Engineer will own and grow sales for various product lines, combining technical expertise with sales responsibilities to develop solutions and close sales with engineers, contractors, and facility owners.

Responsibilities

Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for Air Monitor, Badger Meters, Paragon Controls, Lab Valves Equipment, Multiple lines of gas meters, and gas detection systems
Provide application guidance and integration support for HVAC, building automation, and laboratory environments
Conduct site visits to assess needs and recommend solutions
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities
Prepare competitive pricing, detailed proposals, and bid packages
Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and facility managers
Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets
Conduct product training for engineers, customers, sales teams, and channel partners
Develop and deliver presentations, lunch-and-learns, and live product demos to push these products into our markets
Provide post-sale technical support to ensure successful installations
Monitor market trends and competitive products to position our solutions effectively
Provide feedback to manufacturers to improve product offerings
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and association meetings

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Technology, HVAC Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of airflow measurement, fluid measurement, gas detection, and control systems
Proven ability to prepare accurate proposals and close sales
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to read mechanical and control drawings, P&IDs, and submittals
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts

Preferred

1-3 years in a technical sales, sales engineering, or business development role in HVAC, flow measurement, building automation, or lab control products
Familiarity with Air Monitor, Badger Meters, Paragon Controls, Titus Lab Equipment, and gas detection systems
