The role involves tutoring, maintaining records of student progress, and assisting in workshops related to college admissions and financial literacy.

Responsibilities
Assist ETS students in improving academic achievement either in a group or individually by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills
Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and complete records of student contacts and progress
Meet with ETS Advisor and/or Director regularly to ascertain participant's progress and address any concerns
Assist the ETS Advisors and/or Director in conducting college admissions and financial literacy workshops, as well as high school orientations
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a solid academic background in Math, Science, and/or English
Must have superb analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Must be available to tutor after school hours, some evenings and Saturdays
Friendly, patient, and sensitive to a diversity of students
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Candidates must have access to reliable transportation to and from the tutoring site and must complete and pass a background check before hire
Preferred
Bilingual in Navajo or Spanish
Bachelor's degree in math, Science, or English
Preference to applicants from socio economic backgrounds similar to ETS participants and/or have a working knowledge of TRIO programs
Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail
Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings
Team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and co-workers
