Responsibilities
Perform receiving duties on incoming material, including item identification and description verification, quantity, and quality checks
Load and unload trucks
Correspond with shippers, team members and/or the department manager to report and rectify damaged shipments, discrepancies and/or shortages
Label and stock incoming products into inventory or apply to customer orders, as required
Process outgoing shipments
Inspect and verify outgoing products ensuring that the products and quantities are accurate
Prepare, package, palletize, and/or band products for shipment
Process outgoing shipments in the computer system
Generate and apply UPS and FedEx package shipping labels and paperwork
Generate and apply LTL Freight paperwork for pallet and larger product shipments
Keep Shipping & Receiving areas neat, clean, and organized at all times
Maintain, manage, and organize our shipping supplies
Attend to customers and drivers who visit our will call counter
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Experience operating a forklift, or willing to learn
Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs
Experience operating an overhead crane or hoist, or willing to learn
Willingness to learn, be coached, and collaborate in a friendly, team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Excel
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Good oral and written communication skills
Data-entry skills - must possess both speed and accuracy
