EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer, PE to join their Transportation Planning and Design team. The role involves collaborating with the project team to develop creative solutions for design and construction challenges, focusing on highway and roadway design projects.

Responsibilities

Work includes design or redesign of highways/roadways, interchange design, drainage design, plan reviews, and coordination with public regulatory agencies and utility companies
You will gain experience on a vast array of projects, including large-scale roadway design projects and city/township/county projects, offering a wide variety of scope

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Experience in roadway design and ODOT plan preparation
Hands-on design and drafting experience using Microstation/Open Roads/Geopak
Must have a working knowledge in: roadway vertical and horizontal geometric design in accordance with ODOT and AASHTO standards, roadway drainage design and BMP design, and common constructability issues

Ability to apply engineering knowledge to practical design challenges
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
Communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work independently after receiving appropriate guidance
