Senior Applications Manager

Responsibilities
Delivers customer service to IS clients seamlessly across system boundaries
Ensures safety, confidentiality & security of employee and Patient data
Manages cross-functional team members to determine and define specific analytical and technical systems information requirements, objectives and solution sets for the enhancements and configuration of the application
Manages team members (managers, leads and analyst level staff) through the project management life cycle to ensure that overall progress and management of application project tasks are on track
Works through complicated and political project situations effectively and with successful outcomes
Develops the education and delivery to internal team members, physicians, clinical and practice staff in the utilization of functionality within the application
Promptly identifies, documents, and resolves problems with system functionality
Coordinates and adheres to strict implementation project schedules, and handles multiple assignments
Communicates clearly problems, issues and potential solutions to team members, clients and organizational administration
Researches and analyze new functionality, and releases within the application to enhance practice productivity and operational processes
Clearly articulates problems, issues, and potential solutions to team members, clients and organizational administration
Manages multiple highly complex projects and initiatives simultaneously through the project management life cycle
Uses detailed technical knowledge of application systems and business processes and identifies process improvement initiatives and targeted opportunities for improvements in the application
Develops, manages and executes project plan tasks and milestones while meeting project objectives and reports project changes to IS Director
Develops new policies and procedures relating to system design, enhancements, change control, and maintenance of the application
Manages the delivery of complex workflow/system requirements in order to design, configure, test and implement application solutions
Defines system requirements and develops logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity
Coordinates, creates and maintains all documentation for assigned applications in order to establish standards for configuration and enhancements within the application
Manages the team in system upgrades and scheduled vendor releases as requested to enhance the application and meet project objectives
Develops departmental standards regarding change control to ensure accurate data tracking and monitors change process by maintaining current protocols and reporting any problems to appropriate personnel
Provides continuous performance feedback to all team members to ensure that employees understand expectations and requirements
Manages the day-to-day operations of assigned teams employee mentoring, timecard retrieval, team meetings, and communicating operational requirements of UPHS to all team members
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of Information Technology experience
3+ years of demonstrated management experience
Preferred
Healthcare IT experience
