They are hiring a Planning Intern to assist with data management, research, fieldwork, and community outreach activities within the Planning Department.

Responsibilities
Assist with the collection, management, and analysis of data for a range of planning projects, including both current and long-range planning projects
Research applicable regulations including but not limited to General Plan, Specific Plan, Zoning Code, statutes, and other relevant material. Prepare research documentation
Conduct field work and field data collection
Prepare maps and graphics for a range of planning documents
Assist with the development of presentations and other materials for community meetings and public-facing presentations
Attend public meetings and workshops to assist the team with community outreach activities
Attend internal project and client meetings; prepare agendas and meeting minutes
Qualification
Required
Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver's record are required
