Responsibilities
Provide executive-level direction across multiple high-value projects, ensuring alignment with firm objectives, client goals, and public-sector compliance requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for senior client representatives, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles
Oversee budgets, forecasts, and profitability for assigned projects; lead margin optimization, risk analysis, and financial reporting in collaboration with project controls
Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with owners, consultants, and subcontractors; ensure compliance with AIA contract documents, NYC public procurement regulations, and MWBE goals
Partner with the VP and executive leadership to identify and pursue new public-sector opportunities, leveraging client relationships to support growth
Drive project team performance, ensuring adherence to schedule, safety standards, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements
Provide guidance and leadership to Project Managers and other senior staff, supporting talent development and succession planning within the firm
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role
Proven track record delivering public-sector projects in NYC (DDC, SCA, NYCHA, DEP, or similar agencies)
Strong knowledge of NYC procurement processes, MWBE and diversity compliance, prevailing wage, and public contract requirements
Demonstrated success in client-facing leadership roles with the ability to develop long-term relationships
Expertise in financial oversight, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
Proficiency in construction management software: Primavera P6, Procore, CMiC, Textura, and similar platforms
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Preferred
Strong business development acumen with established relationships in NYC's public-sector market
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Ability to drive innovation in project delivery while ensuring compliance and profitability
