QA/QC Inspector

Construction

Responsibilities

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products
Verify conformity to specifications, blueprints, and industry standards
Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection instruments
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including logs of non-conformances
Prepare and distribute inspection reports to supervisors, engineers, and management
Communicate quality issues clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders
Ensure adherence to ISO standards, company quality policies, and customer requirements
Participate in internal and external quality audits
Support the enforcement of quality procedures throughout fabrication and assembly processes
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to determine root causes of defects
Recommend and support corrective actions to eliminate quality issues
Provide feedback to help improve manufacturing and inspection processes
Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control procedures
Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality

Required

High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred

Additional certifications or training in quality control or inspection preferred
Experience with metal fabrication processes and tolerances preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards preferred
Welding experience and/or SPC (Statistical Process Control) knowledge a plus
