Controls Engineer - PLC Programming, HVAC controls
CyberCoders is a leading contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support the design, installation, and commissioning of control systems for commercial and institutional projects. The role involves close collaboration with general contractors and field teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical controls into broader building systems.

Responsibilities
Design and implement control systems for lighting, HVAC, and energy management
Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and related automation hardware
Collaborate with GC teams and other trades to coordinate electrical controls scope
Support field installation teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
Conduct system commissioning and performance testing
Develop and maintain control schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and project specifications
Assist in prefabrication planning and control panel layout
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in electrical controls within commercial construction
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control logic, and field installation practices
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience working as or with subcontractors preferred
