Responsibilities

Field observation and documentation programs involving buildings of all types and construction materials

Special attention is focused on concrete framed structures, considering their exposure to problematic conditions

Field inspection efforts may involve sub-contracted work to obtain material specimens for laboratory testing

Coordination of specialty contractors and laboratory technicians

QA and QC review of reports is performed for independent work and the work of others to maintain consistency with information presentation and to determine general compliance with standards such as ASTM E-2018, Property Condition Assessments

Performs design and detailing of basic structures

Attends project meetings

Perform scope reviews for future projects

Preparation of a job hazard analysis or health and safety plan as needed

Maintain updates to building code manuals along with other administrative duties
