Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, service, and overhaul aircraft and related components
Research technical data and perform disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing, and calibration of aircraft components using company tools and equipment in accordance with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures
Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures including wings, fuselage, rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units
Read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine repair or replacement methods
Complete documentation such as identification tags, inspection forms, routing tags, and component removal logs
Disassemble and inspect aircraft and engine parts for wear or defects
Repair or replace defective engine parts; reassemble and install engines
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories
Perform miscellaneous service duties including cleaning, greasing, servicing, moving aircraft parts, and checking breaks
Ensure training records are documented and signed by appropriate personnel
Assist with maintenance of company equipment and general shop housekeeping
Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and directing others when needed
Qualification
Required
Valid A&P License required
Valid Driver's License required
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level
Occasional crawling, climbing, lifting
Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
Follow verbal and written directions
Skilled in interpreting and applying technical data
Ability to safely drive and operate manual vehicles and equipment
Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and mathematical proficiency
Preferred
3-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance preferred
Post-secondary education or training in aircraft maintenance, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience preferred
