Responsibilities

The Mammography Technician performs a variety of functions to include the responsibility for the administration of ionizing radiation to specific portions of the human anatomy to produce medical images of high diagnostic value

The Mammography Coordinator complies with those standards as set forth by the ARRT, JCAHO, FDA, MQSA, ACR, federal and state regulatory bodies, and the hospital

Qualification

Radiologic TechnologyARRT CertificationMammography CertificationBLS CertificationDiploma

Required

High school graduate or equivalent

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Registered or eligible for registry by the ARRT in Radiography

Registered or eligible for registry by the ARRT in Mammography

BLS required
