They are seeking an Engineering Designer (Site/Civil) to support ongoing projects in their Greenville, SC office, involving all stages of design and construction while assisting project managers in producing documents and managing projects.

Responsibilities

Builds on extensive technical foundations with expectation to make significant contributions to the team efforts for the benefit of the client

Demonstrates ability to evaluate, select, and apply standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features

Understands technical requirements needed in the design of a project and how various disciplines are integrated to meet the needs of the client

Independent performer on most assignments

Produce plans and drawings as assigned with minimal instruction

Demonstrates strong understanding of surveying

Prepares scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments

Exercises broad knowledge of the design process and understands company technical standards

Integrates multiple components of design

Knowledge of codes and design in construction practices

Ability to apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervision

Visit construction sites to observe progress and to determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications

Recognizes and reports risk management issues to Senior Designer as appropriate

Ability to coordinate work with professional engineers, surveyors, survey field personnel, city code enforcement officials and construction crews

Required

5+ Years of relevant (civil) experience

AutoCAD and Revit proficiency required

AS Degree (Design / Drafting Preferred)

Ability to travel

Working knowledge of A&E work standards, processes, and policies

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to manage deadlines and prioritize assignments

Understanding of the tasks associated with the preparation of construction documents
