Amalgamated Bank seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst who will support the development of bank-wide budget, forecast, and long-range strategic plans. The analyst will assist with financial reporting, business reviews, and strategic decision-making through analytics and metrics to improve financial results.

Responsibilities

Prepare complex financial analyses, reports and models for management to support Amalgamated Bank’s initiatives

Utilize multiple data sources to create, manage and automate financial reports and other key metric reporting

Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the firm and at the department level

Support developing and/or enhancing business line and product profitability reporting

Assisting in preparation of materials for public earnings reporting, Amalgamated Bank’s Board of Directors, prospective investors, and other external parties

Perform ad hoc requests (analysis and reporting) for functional leaders and senior management

Perform other duties as directed

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred

Strong quantitative skills and analytical rigor

High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Axiom and/or other financial reporting platforms

Proficient with MS suite PowerPoint, Excel, Word and prior experience with financial management/budgeting applications

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
