T&M Associates is seeking an accomplished Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team as a Department Manager within our Water Market. This critical leadership position involves managing multiple teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business goals across the region.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple technical teams, including Group Managers, Project Managers, and Engineers, to ensure successful project completion and business outcomes across the region

Provide strategic leadership and direction on water/wastewater engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory standards

Guide the team in the design, planning, and optimization of infrastructure for water systems such as treatment plants, watermain replacement, sewer systems, booster stations, and wastewater pumping stations

Oversee business development efforts, including proposal preparation, and collaborate with peers across the organization to support team goals and company success

Coordinate and manage the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet established deadlines, budgets, and quality standards

Monitor and manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and collections

Mentor and develop staff through effective recruitment, training, and performance management practices

Collaborate with regional leadership to ensure alignment of projects and goals with the company’s overall strategy for growth and success

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required

Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with New Jersey licensure preferred

15-20 years of experience in water, wastewater, and sewer engineering, with a strong background in project management, client relations, and staff development

Proven experience in managing large-scale water/wastewater projects, including budgeting, design, and client engagement

Demonstrated expertise in business management, including workload forecasting, business planning, KPI attainment, invoicing/collections, recruitment, and staff development

Strong leadership abilities with experience in team-building, collaboration, and strategic planning

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work independently or as part of a team
