Responsibilities
This role works closely with our Senior Engineer and VP of Technology in a collaborative environment
Ongoing development of ecommerce solutions, APIs, and system integrations within the Shopify ecosystem
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain new software features and enterprise tools
Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable systems
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise and accountability
Partner with outside vendors to design and implement third-party integrations across business systems
Contribute to the strategic technical direction of Z SUPPLY’s digital platforms
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of professional Shopify development experience required
Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Liquid
Experience with the latest Shopify features (i.e. Metaobjects, Checkout Extensibility)
Strong front-end design and user experience sensibility
Ability to effectively leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.)
Proven ability to rapidly learn and implement new technologies
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
Preferred
Hands-on experience building custom Shopify apps and API integrations
Experience working with Ruby on Rails (strong plus)
Experience architecting scalable ecommerce solutions and business intelligence systems
Familiarity with AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Docker, etc.)
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
