They are actively looking for an Entry Level Civil Engineer specializing in Highway/Roadway to join their Atlanta office, where the engineer will perform engineering design, planning, and computations in accordance with GDOT and AASHTO publications.

Responsibilities
Learn how to perform engineering design, planning, and computations in accordance with GDOT and AASHTO publications
Develop detailed roadway 3D models to be used for design and construction using Bentley InRoads or OpenRoads
Prepare accurate construction drawings and exhibits, using Microstation, meeting GDOT, client, or corporate CADD standards
Perform, review, evaluate engineer’s estimate calculations and specifications
Write clear, concise, accurate and professional technical reports, correspondence (including emails), memorandums, and specifications
Communicate effectively and professionally with a multi-disciplinary team and clients. Ask questions and be willing to learn
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties and to work as a team
Work under deadlines and self-manage several concurrent assignments
Design and preparation of documents for: Freeway Improvement, Widening, and interchange Projects, Minor and major roadway improvements and grade separations, Pedestrian and bike facilities meeting ADA requirements, Stage Construction and Traffic Handling
Assist project manager with tasks associated with: Plan preparation, Cost estimates, Report writing, Proposal Development, Client coordination
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
EIT required
Coursework in Transportation Engineering experience including roadway design, traffic analysis, highway design
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Availability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
