Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing functional test plans for complex development projects
Responsible for analyzing requirements and the functional design provided, and ensuring these are consistent with the test plan. Request clarity as required and incorporate that feedback into testing
Responsible for assessing changes from the business needs and the overall impact of the changes on the enterprise wide system
Responsible for creating and updating test scenarios in case of new enhancements or change requests
Responsible for creating test suite of test cases covering all aspects of impacted areas due to a change or code fix. Also responsible for anticipating impact of a change in other areas and identifying and implementing any new testing or corrections to existing testing
Responsible for preparing necessary data to cover all test cases related to a change, enhancement or bug
Responsible for executing test cases and recording results. Raise issues in bug reporting system with clear description of the error
Responsible for tracking issues raised in the system to closure. Coordinate with development on resolution and closure
Responsible for performing both manual and automated regression and integration testing to help ensure defect free application upon release
Responsible for test case reviews
Follow and ensure others on the team follow defined QA process
Responsible for tracking progress and reporting status to lead/manager
Responsible for contributing to / creating test summary for releases
Responsible for mentoring and motivating team members and providing assistance as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in Software Testing (manual and automation)
Experience in developing automated testcases in at least one programming language (preferably JAVA/Type Script)
Well-organized and self-directed, and can work with minimal amount of supervision
Experience in Agile/iterative software delivery methodologies
Experience testing web-based applications and non-web-based systems, including integration systems
Experience with automated test frameworks: Selenium, Cucumber and REST Assured
Experience in testing Web Services and Service oriented architectures using SOAP and/or RESTFUL technologies
Knowledge of automated build deployment tools (GitHub preferably)
Exposure to GitHub/Bitbucket
Experience in writing database queries
Experience with tools such as Jira for defect tracking
Experience with Test case management tools such as Zephyr
Experience creating Test Plans, Test Summaries, etc
Knowledge of performance testing
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong ability to stay current with the constantly evolving technology industry
