Responsibilities

Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for projects with complex features
Perform advanced engineering calculations and design tasks for civil projects, including stormwater earthworks, residential/commercial sites, roadways, utilities, and drainage systems
Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, permit applications, schedules, and other project documentation
Work under moderate supervision with general review of completed work, applying sound professional judgment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project members, to ensure project success
Assist with onboarding and mentoring newer team members
Communicate effectively in oral and written forms, manage conflicts professionally, and participate in official communications for project assignments and meetings
Progressively take on more responsibility and leadership as skills and experience develop

Qualification

AutoCAD Civil 3DCivil designEngineer-in-Training certificationStormWiseBentley hydraulic modelingCommunication skillsTeam collaborationConflict management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program
Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification required
Advanced proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormWise, Bentley hydraulic modeling programs, or similar tools
Knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and regulations

Preferred

Working toward PE licensure preferred
2+ years of engineering experience in civil design and/or construction preferred
