Responsibilities
Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations
Assists radiologists as needed with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures
Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
Properly care for sonography equipment and report equipment failure
Write reports based upon scan results and completion
Alerts appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention
Manage multiple priorities and projects and display flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
Qualification
Required
ARRT(S)/ ARDMS Certification
CPR/ BLS Certification
Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Display good work ethic and friendly and cheerful disposition
Pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care
Must be able to communicate with radiologists and other healthcare providers about images and patient care
Maintain sensitivity to physical and psychological needs of patients
Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines
