Responsibilities
Understand and follow quality processes including but not limited to:
Oven Lead Person or Manager will give the Mixer People the “ Mix Sheet “ for the run. Look at that sheet , and see what material we are running and from that get your knife settings, oven speeds and what type of material we are casting on, Paper, Alum or Polyester
Set the knife for correct material thickness and cast width, as per your Mix Sheet. Use the set of feeler thickness gauges and verify settings with your micrometer. The Knife setting must be checked by two people and must be signed off by both on the Production Run Sheet BR-M.PDR
Help the Oven Lead Person with setting up the Paper, Alum or Polyester Roll, that you will cast on. If Paper, the Lot Number must be recorded on the Production Run Sheet BR-M.PDR.Run a sample to verify knife settings and weights, if within range, run can start
Inspection of material during pouring for streaks. If any advise the Finish End Person by radio, that one is on the way to him or her. If cast on paper, Mark Pot changes
Ensure consistency of product and adjust guide plates to stop run off in oven
Any problems report them to your Oven Lead Person
At the end of each run the Knife setting must be checked again and the findings recorded on the Production Run Sheet BR-M.PDR
Follow all safety guidelines
Keep the equipment and work area neat and clean
Perform maintenance checks
Qualification
Required
Understanding of company policy and procedures
Able to perform proper set-up and changeover of equipment
Should be mechanically inclined
Good communication skills
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
