Responsibilities

Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination by embedding, sectioning, and staining
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards
Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic procedures
Document and maintain accurate records of all laboratory procedures and results
Stay updated on advancements in histotechnology and participate in continuing education opportunities

Qualification

Required

Associate's degree in Histotechnology or a related field
Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) from a recognized body

Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
