SMT Operator

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Set-Up & Tear Down- SMT Machines
Knowledge of safety and operation of Pick-n-Place machines
Load feeders according to the setup sheet using
Understand feeder sizes and pitches
Component Identification knowledge
Verify components & feeder on job cart
Restock parts in the correct Kit Box
Load program on machine(s)
Ability to run Juki Pick & Place and reflow ovens
Perform machine operator processes (startup, loading a recipe, adjusting the conveyor belt, production runs, shut down, and alarms)
Makes minor machine adjustments such as placement of parts, measurement of components, and change or correct package size, clears machine jams
Thoroughly and accurately complete forms and documentation as necessary
Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and written with coworkers, management, vendors, source inspectors, and customer representatives (when needed)
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Be punctual and maintain good attendance
Other duties as assigned
Will be crossed-train for other functions within SMT Operations

Required

2+ Years of SMT machine Operation
Knowledge of the solder paste print process
Previous knowledge of mechanical, thru-hole, surface mount, electronic component identification, and performing reworks on printed circuit boards is a must
Ability to use quality-related measuring equipment
Ability to follow procedures and maintain the quality of products at all times
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills and the ability to learn new skills and tasks as required, especially PCB software (ProCim)
Strong time and document management and interpersonal skills
Willing to take on new challenges within demanding deadlines utilizing a results-oriented performance style
Strong work ethic, eager to learn, and willing to contribute to meet the company's goal
Ability to work independently or with a team
Must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
Ability to commute to different vendors/assembly houses as needed
Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management
Self-motivator and a sense of ownership and urgency
Must be able to maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times
Proficient in Microsoft Office using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
Schedule required to be flexible

Preferred

Juki Machine Operation preferred. (we will train inexperience to SMT)
