This position is responsible for ensuring that a variety of industrial equipment is kept clean and working efficiently, performing set-up, adjustments, and repairs to production equipment while inspecting quality during all phases of production.

Responsibilities

Set up multiple machines for operation

Maintain and repair machines including disassembly and re-assembly, inspection, preventative maintenance, and detection of damage

Make necessary adjustments, inspect product, machine speed, minimize down time

Works closely with the production team to meet production and quality goals

Assists Machine Operator in maintaining quality control and production requirements

Communicate with shift supervisor and/or machine operators of potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues

Takes responsibility and initiative to ensure own safety and the safety of others

Follows all safety procedures; uses protective equipment as needed or required

Keep the work area neat and orderly

Identify, correct, or report safety hazards in the facility

Ensure that all machine guards are in place prior to operating machinery
