Security/AC Technician - Level III

Responsibilities
Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met
Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans
Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect components
Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications
Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions
Keep informed of new products and developments
Request orders for replacement parts
Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed
Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and basic network related problems encountered by end-users of the network
Has a understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address
Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner
Maintain the company’s high standards of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, and team members
Submit all paperwork on time
Adhere to all required project specific as well as company safety requirements
Perform other duties as may be assigned
Qualification
Required
5+ years low voltage field experience
Prior supervisory roles with experience having reporting staff
Professional communication and delegation skills
High School Diploma or GED

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted
Must be able to stand, walk, reach and with hands and arms, for up to eight hours daily
Must be able to coordinate hands and eyes while using automated tools and equipment
Must be able to handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc
Must be able to use one hand for twisting or turning motions while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination
Must be able to climb up and down ladders (8 feet routinely)
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl in all environments (basements, crawl spaces, attic/ceilings, etc.)
