Responsibilities

Plan, facilitate, and assess project-based learning experiences tied to math, science, and engineering principles
Supervise students in fabrication, welding, and electric vehicle projects, ensuring safety and skill development
Connect curriculum standards to authentic, real-world challenges
Collaborate with facilitators, mentors, and industry partners to enrich programming
Support and coordinate after-school and evening (“twilight”) sessions, scheduled in advance and shared among staff
Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and shop organization
Build strong, supportive relationships with students to foster resilience and confidence

Required

Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and connect with high school students
Interest in building, making, or willingness to learn alongside students
Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills

Preferred

Missouri or Kansas Secondary Teaching Certification in Math, Science, or a Career & Technical Education (CTE) area (Engineering, Industrial Technology, etc.)
Candidates with relevant expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring youth
