Senior Member Relationship Consultant

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong client relationships by demonstrating empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of retail banking services and lending practices
Engage proactively with members through outbound calling and in-person interactions to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products
Utilize banking software and customer relationship management (CRM) to track member interactions, manage sales pipelines, and ensure timely follow-up on loan underwriting and account opening processes
Conduct consultative sales conversations to promote lending products such as home equity loans, consumer loans, and other financial services in alignment with bank policies
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with bank lending policies and deliver seamless service experiences that enhance member satisfaction
Ability to adapt quickly to changing banking regulations and market conditions

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years proven experience as a Bank Teller, relationship banker, or in a similar retail banking role with direct customer interaction
Demonstrated knowledge of lending products, loan underwriting, and bank lending policies
Strong communication skills with the ability to show empathy and patience when dealing with diverse client needs

Preferred

A degree in finance, business, or related field is preferred
Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM or equivalent customer relationship management software
Previous experience specifically in consultative sales within the finance and insurance industry
Training in loan underwriting or financial advising
Experience working with home equity and consumer loan products in a banking environment
NMLS (have already or will be required to attain within 1 year)
Certified Notary (have already or will be required to attain within 1 year)
Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (can attain here at HawaiiUSA FCU)
