Crane Operator I
Scout Energy Partners is seeking a Crane Operator I to join their team. The primary responsibilities include operating and maintaining a Grove 80 ton crane, ensuring compliance with lifting specifications, and conducting inspections of crane mechanisms. The role requires effective communication with ground workers and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a Grove 80 ton crane
Weigh materials to determine load weight and ensure compliance with lifting specifications
Move levers, depress buttons and foot pedals to operate and control the speed/direction of crane movement
Conduct inspection of crane mechanism and lifting components to ensure parts are in working order
Liaise with helpers and ground workers who provide direction assistance through radio communication or hand signals
Inspect cables and grappling assembly to identify wear and facilitate replacement
Clean, lubricate, and maintain the moving parts of a crane such as the cables, pulley or grappling mechanism
Load or unload shipment of heavy duty machinery or material from trucks
Review work orders and schedules to determine sequence of operations
Inspect bundles or shipment to ensure conformance to company regulations or customer requirements
Signal and direct truck drivers to properly back vehicles into loading or unloading bay
Move, lift, and position equipment, machinery or heavy materials with the aid of hook, bucket or electromagnet
Provide report of work operations by completing relevant paperwork
Direct helpers to place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy materials
Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance
Works safely and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
Solid written and oral communication skills
Strong work ethic
Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-pressure production environment
Has basic computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases or the ability to learn
Maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility
Has integrity, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
Possess a valid driver's license, CDL may be required
NCCCO rigger level 1 required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program
Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation
Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
Preferred
NCCCO rigger level 2 preferred
Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred
Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred
