Responsibilities

Design and integrate secure communications into software application development
Implement application-level security controls such as authentication, authorization, input validation, and encryption
Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis for software systems
Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security automation tools in CI/CD pipelines
Conduct code reviews, static/dynamic analysis, and penetration testing of aerospace applications
Contribute to incident response and forensic investigations related to application-level attacks
Keep up with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends in cybersecurity and aerospace

Required

5 or more years of applicable experience related to this job description
Familiarity with FISMA, CMMC, NIST, AES, and FIPS 140-2/3
Understanding of hardware security modules and cryptographic key management
Experience with C, C++, Rust, or other systems programming languages
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or another related technical discipline

Preferred

Knowledge of zero-trust architectures, secure boot, and hardware root-of-trust
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GWEB, OSCP, or CSSLP
Familiarity with the SPARTA framework
Familiarity with DO-178C
Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP
Exposure to software development in Linux environments
Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs
