Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot network performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and security
Manage network security tools including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Support VoIP systems, VLAN configurations, and QoS implementations
Conduct regular network assessments, capacity planning, and performance optimization
Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations
Provide onsite troubleshooting and escalation support for complex networking issues
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for network topology and configurations
Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning related to network infrastructure
Stay current with emerging technologies and make recommendations to improve network efficiency and security
Deliver high-quality, professional communication and service to clients during all onsite engagements
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer, preferably within an MSP or client-facing environment
Strong knowledge of Cisco and/or Fortinet networking equipment
Proven experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and network segmentation
Expertise with firewalls, VPNs, and remote access technologies
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Meraki Dashboard)
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure networking concepts, and cloud connectivity
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and client-service orientation
Preferred
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred
