Responsibilities
Teaching faculty are professional educators who have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the District mission of providing a quality education for all students attending the colleges
Faculty members are responsible to a department/program chairperson; The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning
Faculty members will uphold the mission and values of the colleges’ and foster effective working relationships with students and colleagues
Qualification
Required
Hold a minimum of an Associates degree PLUS, three years documentation of demonstrated work experience in the teaching field OR Eight years documentation of demonstrated work experience in the teaching field
The candidate must obtain an Associates degree within three years for contract renewal
You must be a teacher with the designated Independent School District (ISD) affiliated with St. Philip's College
Hold a current A6 Electrical and G1 general maintenance certifications and the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in the area being taught
