Responsibilities

Architect, design and implement Cybersecurity logging, monitoring and incident response platforms and solutions which can support the needs of the Cyber Fusion Center
Collaborate closely with Cyber leaders, Tech, and incident response partners in understanding business needs and designing solutions that address their priorities
Drive decision-making for buy vs build evaluation based on functional fit, technical feasibility, cost-benefit
Evangelize and lead the Cybersecurity Monitoring and Incident Response solutioning
Abstract cross cutting concerns into common platform components that can be used for multiple current and future use cases
Lead team prioritization and sequencing of milestones to deliver incremental business value
Develop and champion best practices, including modular design, version control, automated testing, and security considerations, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency
Partner with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and other teams to implement monitoring, alerting, and automation for platform reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency, contributing to highly available and performant platforms

Required

12+ years of professional experience in product/platform engineering designing and building critical and high-scale applications
5+ years of experience leading and mentoring technical teams
Proven track record of successful partnership with product and business orgs to prioritize and deliver business value
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with Agile execution framework
Deep functional understanding of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) At-Scale, and a strong understanding of managing signal-to-noise in systems to build actionable signal
Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into scalable technology solutions using modern technology stacks such as Data Lake and Cloud Computing
Operational Excellence: Solid understanding of SRE concepts such as SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and experience with tools for monitoring, alerting, and incident response
