Responsibilities
Administratively responsible to the Supervisor and/or the Assistant Supervisor on duty
Responsible for carrying out the assigned programs to individuals of the Intermediate Care Facility Program (ICF/ID)
Spend a minimum of 85% of work-time in direct individual contact
Implement assigned duties in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check
Must pass post-job offer pre-placement physical exam; and initial and subsequent annual TB screenings
CPR certification must be obtained and maintained
Must adhere to established company/program policies and procedures and regulations relating to safety and infection control
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with individuals on caseload, families, outside agency representatives and program staff
As determined by facility and work schedule, valid USA driver's license may be required for frequent and unscheduled travel to fulfill position responsibilities, i.e., individual programming, transport, and appointments
Must successfully complete Allied's Driver Training Program, as stated by policy #2.43
Preferred
Two (2) years experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals
