Responsibilities
Collaborating with the engineering team to solve complex problems for the structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and other transportation infrastructure projects
Attending project meetings with internal project teams and external clients
Conducting assessments and inspections of bridges, culverts, and other project components
Performing computations for structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structural components
Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d
Preparing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Field observation of construction for adherence to construction plans and specifications
Report and memo writing
Cost estimating
Construction support through review of contractor shop drawings and submittals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent
Driver's License
Preferred
EIT certification
Proficiency with Microstation
Proficiency with AASHTOWare
Proficiency with MathCAD
Other structural engineering software
