Electrical PE

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest, seeking to hire an Electrical Professional Engineer to support a range of Electrical Engineering projects. The primary responsibility includes serving as the Engineer of Record for electrical designs, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering practice acts, and collaborating with team members to develop project proposals and specifications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees
Collaborate with CADD technicians and EITs to develop Construction Drawings and Specifications
Proficient at developing One-Line Diagrams, Short Circuit Studies, Coordination Studies, Voltage Drop Calculations, Grounding Design, Arc Flash Studies, and motor control schematics
Manage the demands of planning and modeling, regulatory compliance, and permitting
Train/mentor staff on the use of electrical modeling software such as SKM and AmpCalc
Train/mentor staff on electrical design requirements
Review project details to proactively manage risk
Develop relationships with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Professional engineer registration (PE) in Texas or OK
Knowledge of electrical engineering practices, principles and keep up with the ever-changing industry trends
Detailed understanding of project engineering methods with the ability to lead project design start to finish, taking into account time, cost and resources
An effective communicator with all levels of employees
Possess strategic and effective delegation skills
