Responsibilities

Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives
Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods
Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements
Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular)
Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations
Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments

Required

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction
Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect for all students and employees
Master's Degree (in-field) – Holds an earned master's or higher from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, software development, cloud technologies, data analytics, or a closely related field
Master's Degree (out-of-field + graduate IT coursework) – Holds an earned master's degree in another discipline with 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent) of IT-related coursework beyond the introductory level
Master's Degree (out-of-field + professional documentation) – Holds an earned master's degree in another discipline and demonstrates two or more of the following: Professional certification(s) (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+/Cloud+, AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure, CCNA, Linux+, etc.), Two years of directly related professional employment in IT, Documented evidence of teaching excellence (with date of award), Documented research or publication in the field, Additional post-baccalaureate subject-matter training (e.g., 18 semester hours, CEUs, vendor, or military training)
Bachelor's Degree (discipline-aligned + professional documentation) – Holds an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in IT, IS, CS, cybersecurity, software, cloud, data, or a closely related field and demonstrates two or more of the following: Professional certification(s) (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+/Cloud+, AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure, CCNA, Linux+, etc.), Two years of directly related professional employment in IT, Documented evidence of teaching excellence (with date of award), Documented research or publication in the field, Additional post-baccalaureate subject-matter training (e.g., 18 semester hours, CEUs, vendor, or military training)
