Responsibilities

Ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility’s policies & procedures

Medication administration under the supervision by the qualified physician

Demonstrates respect for co-workers & develops positive working relationships with other departments

Communicates with courtesy when interacting with patients, physicians, facility staff, vendors and the public - in person, on the telephone, or by email

Preforms the role of CVL scrub by anticipating the needs of the physician and keeping the circulating nurse informed of any needs throughout a procedure

Ensures all supplies, equipment and medications are assembled prior to the start of the procedure

Combines the knowledge of human anatomy, cardiovascular procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate the physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures

Responsible for ensuring all new equipment requests are appropriately analyzed based on utilization and data from the provider

Maintain radiation safety at all ties in accordance with radiation safety policies and procedures

Promotes safe environment. Takes appropriate action in emergency situations, being aware of and controlling hazards which may endanger patients, visitors, and employees

Required

Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiological technology, or of certified RCIS program

High school graduate or equivalent required

ARRT, RCES, or RCIS Certification required
