Business Development Lead

Value Engineering LLC is seeking a Business Development Lead to spearhead their sales and marketing initiatives for various projects. This role involves leading teams, building client relationships, driving new sales growth, and managing marketing strategies to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coach teams in fulfilling company focus, values, and goals
Model personal accountability in all matters and hold team members accountable for achieving marketing and sales goals as assigned
Manage sales and marketing staff in completing assigned work efficiently, effectively, and to quality, safety, and company brand standards
Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of project staff in conjunction with HR and company owner
Network, attend, and participate in state and local events related to company goals and projects
Build strong relationships with partners, related firms, and state and municipal stakeholders
Maintain client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and implement improvements as indicated by client surveys and feedback
Identify, evaluate, pursue, and obtain new project contracts and service opportunities
Create, maintain, and monitor the local municipality project sales plan
Develop, maintain, and monitor a consistent company sales process
Address and resolve internal and client queries regarding sales lead issues
Schedule, coordinate, and lead regular sales meetings for team staff
Prepare submissions according to MDOT proposal bidding forms and processes
Prioritize projects and submittal dates in conjunction with Project Manager to ensure adequate staff and resources are available for projects won
Report to Leadership Team on proposals including, but not limited to projects identified, submitted, won
Direct, maintain, and monitor company marketing plan, including but not limited to scheduling social media posts, company website updates, and public relations events
Direct, maintain, and monitor company branding standards including but not limited to internal communication documents, external marketing materials, social media and website elements, and public relations events
Identify and monitor relevant data feedback sources on social media platforms and implement improvements as indicated
Schedule, coordinate, and lead regular marketing meetings for team staff

Required

BS Business, Business Development, or Sales-related field
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
