Responsibilities

Provide high quality images for interpretation by the radiologist to aid in patient diagnosis
Provide all services necessary within the organization and Department of Radiology to insure proper patient care while obtaining requested radiographic examinations

Required

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program
New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
ARRT (R) required
ARRT (CT) - Certification required within 12 months of hire
BLS required within 30 days from date of hire
NYS DOH Injection license - required within 3 months from date of hire
Position requires lifting (50-75lbs.), transferring and assisting patients
Requires occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching is required
Requires 80% standing or walking 20% sitting
Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word is required
Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks
Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility
Ability to multi-task
Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled
Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations

Preferred

Bachelors' degree preferred
Six months CT scan experience preferred or completion of CT training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotation or commitment to complete the Garnet Health CT Scan training program
ARRT (CT) Certification required within 18 months of hire for New CT scan Technologist hired into the Garnet Health CT Scan Training Program
New Graduates must have a letter from the radiology program stating they meet graduation requirements and provide diploma within 3 months of hire if diploma is not available at time of hire
New Graduates must obtain the ARRT (R) registry within 3 months from date of hire
New Graduates must have a temporary permit issued by NYS DOH as per NYS DOH Public Health Law Article 35 and obtain a NYS DOH License within 3 months from date of hire
