Responsibilities
Collaborate with West Monroe consultants and client leadership to architect, build, and deploy secure GCP cloud solutions that improve business operations
Assess current-state IT environments, interview stakeholders, gather/define requirements, and recommend viable GCP migration strategies and solutions
Design and implement GCP landing zones that align with best practices for scalability, security, and governance
Lead on-premises to GCP migration projects, including workload assessment, migration planning, and execution
Develop and enforce GCP architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure secure, compliant, and consistent solutions
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate deployments in GCP
Optimize GCP services, applications, and IT systems to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency
Support analysis for key decisions regarding project direction, including GCP service selections, team workstreams, and methodology
Provide technical leadership in implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment in GCP environments
Assist in business development by supporting proposals, pre-sales technical discovery, and client presentations related to GCP
Act as a mentor and coach to junior consultants on GCP technical best practices, professional development, and client engagement
Contribute to practice development and Center of Excellence meetings by sharing insights, tools, and methodologies to improve delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
5-10+ years of experience in an IT architecture/engineering role, with a focus on cloud computing and GCP migrations
Proven experience leading on-premises to GCP migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution
Strong understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, BigQuery, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and networking
Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and deployment automation in GCP
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring within GCP environments
Confident communication, presentation, and team leadership skills
Willingness to travel for client engagements
Preferred
Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
Bonus: GCP Professional Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer), scripting experience (Python, PowerShell), and familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO, PCI)
