Responsibilities

Demonstrates expert knowledge of responsibilities for trauma care delivery to patients and their families, organizational skills, prioritization, and time management
Develops and directs strategic growth and operational objectives for the trauma programs across the enterprise
Supports and leads process improvement, utilizing benchmarking data to continually achieve higher levels of excellence and cost effectiveness
Directs and oversees all aspects of program development, performance management, personnel activities, trauma finance, and the provision of services. Works to ensure effective physician and staff relations
Oversees program operations. Develops and empowers management to lead daily operations, resolve issues, manage employee performance, manage physician relations, ensure high-quality patient care and service excellence, and ensure operational efficiencies
Provides oversite and direction of program activities to ensure compliance with trauma regulatory requirements
Provides provision of support and alignment of trauma registry, performance improvement, and patient safety programs
Maintains oversite and focused direction of injury prevention, advocacy, education, and outreach efforts impacting trauma care
Leads the gap analysis for the programmatic requirements for ACS accreditation, the planning and preparation for re-accreditation surveys

Required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or healthcare related field required
Five (5) years of clinical experience in a pediatric setting
Three (3) years of trauma program leadership experience
Two (2) years supervisory leadership required for managing, leading teams and initiatives
BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire
Current Colorado or Multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) License
