Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products using CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD)
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to innovative engineering solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met
Conduct basic engineering calculations and analysis (e.g., thermal and fluid dynamics) to ensure the integrity and performance of designs
Assist in the development of HVAC system designs and participate in field verification to validate design concepts
Support the troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems
Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, construction drawings, and reports
Assist in the preparation of technical presentations and project status updates
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure timely completion of project milestones
Provide support in the selection and evaluation of materials, components, and systems operation
Assist in quality control and assurance processes during design documentation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD)
Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Candidate must be able to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license within five (5) years of hire

Preferred

Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, International Code Council)
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools
Basic knowledge of built environment construction processes
Internship or co-op experience in a mechanical engineering role is a plus, but not required
