The Front Desk Specialist will deliver excellent customer service, manage patient check-ins and check-outs, and ensure accurate data entry and insurance processing.

Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to patients and direct them to appropriate departments when necessary
Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry
Collect and verify patient insurance details, confirm eligibility and process any co-pays and payments at time of service
Educate patients on insurance benefits, including in-network vs. out-of-network coverage
Ensure that necessary forms are completed and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers)
Schedule follow up appointments, document cancelled or rescheduled appointments
Submit daily payment collection reports
Manage record requests and releases in collaboration with Medical Records Department
Open and close office
Maintain a professional and respectful work environment through positive interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Proficiency in using electronic health records systems, ModMed a plus and general office software (Microsoft Suite, Teams, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, workers compensation, no fault and HIPPA regulations preferred
Experience working in a clinical setting preferred
